LOCATION TRANSFER CREATE

The Location Transfer interface is designed to manage inventory transfers between different locations, warehouses, and projects within an organization. This tool is essential for tracking movement and ensuring accurate stock management.

  1. Click on "Warehouse".
  2. Click on "Create" under "Location Transfer".

BINNING FORM

This section allows users to enter all relevant information about the inventory transfer. Here's a breakdown of the key fields:

  • From Item Number / Description: The unique identifier and description of the item being transferred from the source location.
  • To Item Number / Description: The identifier and description of the item at the destination, which may differ in certain cases like item substitution or conversion.
  • From UOM / To UOM: Indicates the Unit of Measure used for both the source and destination items, allowing conversion where necessary.
  • From Project / To Project: These fields link the transfer to specific projects if applicable, helping in project-wise inventory tracking.
  • From Warehouse / To Warehouse: Represents the warehouse from which the item is being transferred and the one to which it is being sent.
  • From Item Type / To Item Type: Used to classify the item type at both ends of the transfer, such as raw materials, consumables, or tools.
  • From Location / To Location: Specifies the exact internal location within the respective warehouse or project.
  • Available Stock In Location: A read-only field that displays the current stock available at the selected source location. This helps validate the transfer quantity.
  • Transfer Quantity: The number of items to be transferred. This must not exceed the available stock.
  • Remarks: An optional field for entering any additional notes or justifications related to the transfer.

Once all necessary details are filled out, the Add button can be used to queue the entry into the system for review.

Location Details

The Location Details Table displays a summary of all item transfer entries that have been added but not yet saved. This acts as a review area where users can verify all the information before final submission. Each row in this table represents a pending transfer entry.

This table includes the following details for each transfer:

  • The item numbers and descriptions for both source and destination.
  • The unit of measure and item type at both ends.
  • The related project, warehouse, and internal location information.
  • The available stock at the source location.
  • The quantity to be transferred.
  • Any remarks added by the user.

Save Button: The Save button finalizes and records the transfer transactions into the inventory system. It is only enabled after at least one valid row is added.

  • Refresh: click on Refresh/Reload icon to Reload the current data.
  • Home: click on the home icon to Return to the main screen.
  • Back: click on the arrow icon to Navigate to the previous screen.
