ENGINEERING BOM CREATE
The Engineering BOM (Bill of Materials) Creation process allows users to define and manage BOM components efficiently. It involves filling out structured forms with key details such as item numbers, descriptions, types, and statuses. Users can add child items, alternates, and NRE/consumables while ensuring compliance with mandatory fields.
Navigation Steps
- Click on "Kit Management"
- Click "Create" under "Engg BOM".

A form will open with certain fields to be filled.
BOM Form

- Item Number: Select the item number from the dropdown menu.
- Item Description: Enter the item description.
- Item Type: Enter the item type.
- Active Status: Use the toggle option to enable or disable it. It is enabled by default.
- Upload Items: Upload files by clicking the file upload option. The user will be prompted to choose a file; select the required file, and it will be uploaded.
- Format: Click the download icon to download a sample Excel file.
Notes - Item Number is mandatory.
Child Items

- Item Number: Select or enter the item number.
- Quantity: Enter the quantity.
- Scrap Allowance: Enter the scrap allowance, which can be either:
- A fixed value (e.g., 123)
- A percentage (%)
- Item Type: Enter the item type.
- Remarks: Enter any remarks.
- Active: Use the toggle option to enable or disable it. It is enabled by default.
- UOM: Select the unit of measure.
- Version: Enter the version.
Add Custom Fields: Click the "Add Custom Field" button to open a tab where you can: - Select BOM Group: Choose the BOM group from the dropdown menu.
Notes - Item Number, Quantity are mandatory.
Alternates

- Item Number: Enter the item number.
- Customer Name: Enter the customer's name.
- Alternate Item Number: Enter the alternate item number.
- UOM: Enter the unit of measure.
- Quantity Per: Enter the quantity per item.
- Remarks: Provide any relevant remarks.
- Version: Enter the version.
- Probability of Usage: Enter the probability of usage.
- Active: Use the toggle option to enable or disable it. It is enabled by default.
Add Button: Click the "Add" button to display the entered information in a tabular format below.
Notes - Item Number, Quantity Per, Alternate Item Number are mandatory.
NRE/Consumable

- Item Number*: Enter the item number.
- Quantity: Enter the quantity.
- Cost: Enter the cost.
Add Button: Click the "Add" button to save the entered information. It will then appear below in a tabular format.
Notes - Item Number
Save Button: Click the "Save" button once all the fields are configured to finalize the information.

- Home Icon: Navigate to the home or main page of the application.
- Back Icon: Navigate back to the previous page.
